Overview

AI Skill Home ("we", "us", "our") is a free, open directory that indexes Claude Skills from GitHub. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

We collect minimal data to operate the directory:

• Browser fingerprint (anonymous): We generate a browser-based fingerprint solely to prevent duplicate voting on skills. This is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Analytics data: We use Firebase Analytics (powered by Google Analytics) to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, device type, browser, and approximate geographic location. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve the experience.
• Feedback submissions: If you submit feedback via our contact form, we store the information you provide (name, email, and message).

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not collect names, email addresses, or personal information (unless voluntarily submitted)
• We do not use advertising trackers
• We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing purposes

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies set by Firebase Analytics to measure site usage. These are first-party analytics cookies. We may also use browser local storage for the voting fingerprint. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect the voting feature.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Hosting, Firestore, and Analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Firebase: policies.google.com/privacy
• GitHub: Skill data is fetched from public GitHub repositories. When you download a skill ZIP or view a SKILL.md preview, your browser makes requests directly to GitHub's servers.

Data Retention

Vote records and feedback submissions are stored in Firebase Firestore indefinitely. Analytics data is retained according to Firebase Analytics' default retention settings (14 months).

Your Rights

Since we collect minimal anonymous data, there is generally no personal data to access, modify, or delete. If you have questions or concerns, please use our feedback form or open an issue on our GitHub repository.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
